President Trump isn’t leaving anything to chance when it comes to the African American voter, even though his policies are directly benefiting their bottom line, with historic economic opportunities unequaled by any previous administration. The President feels compelled to continue pursuing their illusive support through a novel strategy of personally reaching out to the black community, through a series of “engagement centers” in critical battleground states heading into the 2020 election.
The unique program dubbed “Black Voices for Trump” was announced by the administration on Wednesday, and was perhaps inspired in part at witnessing an impressive number of black Trump supporters attending many of the President’s rallies.
Thus far the plan is to open 15 community centers in “high-traffic areas” where black voters can simply walk in. These will be brand new retail-style spaces which are actually field offices, staffed by a support group called “Trump Victory.”
The group along with the Republican National Committee will work in unison providing information geared to the black voter, regarding the President’s economic policies that have helped minority communities along with the President’s future policies.
“Last time it was ‘what the hell do you have to lose?’ Now, we’re going to show them what they’ve gained from President Trump and what more they could gain if they get more four years,” said White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, who continues to play a key role in the campaign’s strategic decisions.
The 15-locations so far designated, includes Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Miami, Charlotte, and Atlanta; notably in all their top-tier target states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Wednesday’s announcement comes as the campaign is currently signing leases hoping to open the “engagement centers” by mid-March. Voters who walk into these offices will be met with literature, videos, and even some merchandise for volunteers.
Kushner acknowledged the “unprecedented” strategy by the Trump reelection campaign is to target cities critical to where African-Americans reside, and where previous Republican campaigns avoided.
“You’re never going to get the votes you don’t ask for,” Kushner told reporters at the campaign’s Virginia headquarters where several senior officials, including campaign manager Brad Parscale, presented a mock-up of one of these spaces.
Moreover, the President is in a unique position, having already demonstrated to minority voters, that his policies of cutting taxes, lowering tax rates across the board and cutting egregious regulations, has stimulated an unprecedented blue collar jobs growth, in which those individuals without a college or high school education have seen the biggest wage growth in their paychecks.
However, there are some residual issues with the average black voter, towards President Trump, that complicates things, in that the President has been especially critical of former President Barack Obama’s policies. This has soured a majority of black voters towards the President, despite the fact that Obama (the first African American president), did absolutely nothing for the black community, other than increase the welfare roles, which may explain the skewed poll numbers, coming out of the various media organizations and colleges, reminiscent of the 2016 election cycle, where polling numbers didn’t accurately reflect what was taking place in America.
This may indeed be a similar scenario. For example, a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll from Feb. 19th to the 25th had 15% of African Americans approving of the President’s performance, while 79% disapproved, and 6% with no opinion.
In the 2016 election, only 8% of African Americans voted for Trump versus 89% for Democrat Hillary Clinton, according to the same Reuters/Ipsos Election Day poll.
However other current polling data shows a completely different story showing the President’s approval among black voters within the 30% and higher range, while a RasmussenReports poll has the President’s approval among black voters at 34%, even “fake news” CNN has the President at 26% approval among “non-white voters.”
Pres. Trump is POTUS for most Americans, inclusive of all ethnic races, economic classes, genders, decent political persuasions, some religions & still tirelessly working to improve lives, jobs, manufacturing, wages, the economy, trade, diplomacy, consumer confidence, national pride & international prestige..As of now barring any more catastrophes & unknowns, he is a cinch for re-election to achieve more effective legislation & utilitarian programs in advancing much everyone’s station even redemptive felons & drug addicts for rehab excepting for criminal illegals, leeching idlers & such others as dishonest liberal/violent leftist Dems & biased bought media.,
I’ve said that Palestinians never miss a chance to miss a chance. Black voters are smarter than that. With the country experiencing the lowest black unemployment/ highest black employment since that statistic was first kept in 1972– and that’s true for all “people of color”– black people who vote for Democrats are clearly voting against themselves.
Remember, there are 6% more Democrats registered to vote than Republicans. Thus, any registered voter poll favors the Democrats by 6% assuming a proportional survey and those polled vote their party!
Remember, blacks generally vote over 90% for a black candidate and blacks represent almost 20% of potential voters. If blacks only vote 60% Democrat, that is a 6% to 8% reduction for the Democrats in an election.
This readily explains why the Democrat party is behind Biden. Whoever is their nominee, look for a black female as their VP choice!
Of course, anything can happen before November and turnout is still the key.
